Tongatapu

As the main island of Tonga, this is where the country's capital of Nuku'alofa is situated. Tongatapu is the most populated island, and is the center for Government and Business. Besides its beaches, surrounding islands, and resorts, Tongatapu's attractions also include interesting historical sites such as the Royal Palace, Capt. Cook's landing place, the Ha'amonga 'a Maui Trilithon (pictured above), Tsunami Rock, and ancient polynesian royal burial grounds. Tongatapu has the most number of hotels and accommodation providers. Lulutai Airlines' Headquarters is in Nuku'alofa, on the corner of Taufa'ahau & Mateialona Roads. Lulutai Airlines also has an office at Fua'amotu Domestic Airport.
