Niuatoputapu
Niuatoputapu is the larger more developed island of the two Niuas. Still, the pace is slow and relaxed, where you can decide activities at your leisure. There are white sandy beaches with lagoons, villages with traditional thatched fales (houses), and some of the best traditional weavers in the country. Hike up to Niuatoputapu's 157m volcanic peak, where on a clear day you can actually see Samoa. And don't forget the even more remote island of Tafahi close-by to the north. You can also
take a dip in the Hihifo freshwater spring,
snorkel or dive among the island’s untouched coral reefs,
relax on an unspoiled beach,
listen to the beautiful choir singing at any Sunday church service,
or join a local fisherman for some fishing.
